CBCT

Cone beam CT provides high resolution, volumetric images that are complete 3D views of critical anatomy, allowing for more thorough analysis of bone structure and tooth orientation. The accuracy of CBCT is comparable to medical CTs but uses a much lower radiation dose. It just takes 20 seconds for a dental scan.

Whereas typical dental X-rays focus on a small area to produce flat, 2D pictures, CBCT provides more complete, more accurate, and more visual imagery – allowing you to study your case more accurately and plan more effectively. Cone beam images can be duplicated and are always stored digitally in case they are needed in the future.

Benefits:
Low radiation dose
High resolution with the latest Dentsply Sirona Orthophos SL machine
Optimal FOV (Field of Vision) for Uses:
1. wisdom teeth extraction planning
2. Suitable for Implant planning and fabrication of many types of Surgical Guide, including Cerec Guide
3. TMJ analysis and diagnosis - CBCT images allow you complete, showing a clear image of joint space
